NASHVILLE, TN: Award-winning Bluegrass act The Grascals, along with their label, Mountain Home, celebrated the release of their eighth album, When I Get My Pay, on Tuesday night at the Antique Archeology Store in Nashville, Tennessee. They performed for an audience of media representatives, friends, family, and several of the album’s contributing writers. Their performance was highlighted by their song “American Pickers,” written as a tribute to Mike Wolfe of the American Pickers TV show.
Wolfe, who was present for the event, introduced the Grascals, telling the attendees, “Every once in a while you get recognized for something. When Jamie Johnson sent me the CD with this song on on it, I was blown away. This is the biggest pat on the back we have gotten!”
The song “American Pickers” appears on When I Get My Pay and features a guest vocal from Dierks Bentley. A music video of the song, featuring The Grascals, Dierks Bentley, and a cameo from Mike Wolfe, has been released and can be viewed at http://bit.ly/1hLyRfE
