Legendary Easter Brothers and Family Honored in Nashville
Historic Event Honors Life and Career of Iconic Music Family

Nashville, TN – It was a history-making moment when The Easter Brothers were joined onstage by family members Jeff and Sheri Easter in a special event at Nashville’s Sirius XM Music City Theater.

Family members, music industry elite and a select group of fan contest winners honored the Easters for their decades of music and awards. Crossroads Entertainment of Arden, NC, hosted the occasion to celebrate two recent special releases by members of the iconic Easter family.

With more than 60 years in music, the Easter Brothers recently released their new CD, I’d Do It All Over Again. It has been more than a decade since the last recording from this legendary Gospel Bluegrass trio. Russell, James, and Ed Easter are each accomplished songwriters and have been ministering through their music for over 60 years.

The Easter Brothers project closely followed the release of Like Father, Like Son, which features James Easter and his son, Jeff, also a longtime, influential singer and songwriter in gospel and bluegrass music. Jeff and Sheri Easter are multi-Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning artists in their own right. With decades of classic recordings, special appearances, and numerous radio and television performances, this longstanding, hard-working musical family is widely admired and respected throughout the country, bluegrass, and gospel industry.

The Easter Brothers were also honored during the finale of the Absolutely Gospel Awards. Dailey & Vincent, Jeff and Sheri Easter, The Isaacs, Kelly Nelon Clark and Amber Nelon Thompson, and Darrell Freeman all took the stage to perform Easter classics. The Easter Brothers then capped off the special night by performing two of their all-time fan favorites, “They’re Holding Up The Ladder” and “Thank You Lord For Your Blessings On Me”.

“Our family was so honored to have this special day and we want to thank Crossroads for putting this together,” said Jeff Easter. “My dad and my two uncles have been icons and torchbearers in this industry for a long, long time and they deserve this honor for all their hard work and dedication over the many years.”

In addition, Like Father, Like Son, produced by Jeff and his father, James, along with longtime gospel and bluegrass singer Tim Surrett, was announced as the winner of the Special Event Project of the Year during the Absolutely Gospel Awards presentation.

“I don’t think we could’ve had a better day,” added Jeff. “The great event that Crossroads had for us in Nashville and the Absolutely Gospel Awards honoring The Easter Brothers. To top it off, me and dad won an award that we never expected to win. What a special day for our family.”
