NASHVILLE, TN – At a recent CD release event for Wherever I Wander, the guest list included industry insiders and media professionals who are no strangers to superior music. Still, the Snyder Family Band left the guests awestruck. The event was held at Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville and was hosted by five-time Grammy winner, Adam Steffey, along with Mountain Home Music Company.

Samantha and Zeb Snyder, whose trio is rounded out with dad, Bud Snyder, on bass, are startlingly gifted siblings who caught the attention of the acoustic music world with the maturity and prowess they showed on New Primitive, a solo project by Steffey, a nine-time IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year winner. The band became an obvious choice for the Mountain Home Music Company record label.

Wherever I Wander is the Snyder Family Band’s first album on Mountain Home Music Company and is available tomorrow, March 17, 2015. The album was produced by Tim Surrett (of the multi-award winning band, Balsam Range).

The Snyder Family Band is an unparalleled collaboration of brother, sister and father. They have studied the masters, learned the techniques and naturally reach out to find new means of expression that is rooted in tradition yet always innovative.

Transportive instrumentals provide a vehicle for the journey that is Wherever I Wander, while lyrical compositions provide the scenery. Samantha and Zeb Snyder are two of today’s finest young traditionally-based musicians. They are wise beyond their years and consistently bring new energy and ideas to the music, willing to bend tradition without breaking it. Yesterday can be heard in their music as easily as they provide a glimpse of a bright tomorrow. Their sound could be described as Allman Brothers Band meets Stéphane Grappelli meets Doc Watson.
