Arden, NC — Multi-award-winning Australian Bluegrass artist Kristy Cox plants new roots in Nashville and prepares to record her next album for Pisgah Ridge, an imprint of Mountain Home Music. Kristy has been performing in the U.S., Europe and her Australian homeland for years, resulting in #1 hits on Australian radio charts as well as winning several Victorian & National Country Music Awards.

Now she is focusing her efforts in the U.S., including a recording contract with Pisgah Ridge, plans for a new tour and band lineup and an exclusive songwriting contract with Asheville Forest Music (SESAC).

On her new venture, Kristy tells us, “I have had huge support from the Australian Country Music scene which has helped me realise my potential as an artist and reach my goals. I am now ready to spread my wings even further and release my first project in the USA. I believe the Pisgah Ridge family is going to help me reach new heights. I am very excited about what the future holds and becoming apart of such a reputable team.”

Kristy heads into the studio in late September to start the new project slated for a early 2014 release, produced by Jerry Salley. Check out what all the excitement is about at this year’s 2013 International Bluegrass Music conference where she will be showcasing the week of September 24-28th in Raleigh, NC.
