RALEIGH, NC (October 1, 2014) — Mountain Home Music Company has signed a long-term exclusive recording agreement with Chris Jones & the Night Drivers.

The band will head into the studio soon to work on an anticipated second-quarter 2015 release.

“We’ve been very impressed by the quality of Mountain Home’s roster and the strong record of results they’ve achieved in bluegrass music and beyond,” Jones says. “We’re extremely excited about this opportunity to join the Mountain Home family.”

Chris Jones founded the dynamic four-piece band in 1995. He’s a singer, a songwriter, and a guitarist who has, thanks to his role as a host on SiriusXM’s Bluegrass Junction, one of the most recognizable voices in bluegrass – and indeed, he’s been recognized with International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards in three different categories. Night Drivers bass player Jon Weisberger is a recipient of 3 IBMA awards himself, including its inaugural Songwriter of the Year title, and is currently Chairman of the IBMA’s Board of Directors. Banjo player Ned Luberecki is, like Chris, a Bluegrass Junction host, known both for his virtuoso playing in a dazzling array of styles and for his role as a banjo instructor on-air, on DVD and at workshops around the world. Mandolin player Mark Stoffel, a German native, is a widely-respected player, a recording engineer and producer, and a professor of media at Southern Illinois University. Together these talented players and writers bring humor, intelligence, and fantastic music to the stage and to their recordings.
